How do I order from Pimp Stitch
PimpStitch is home to the designs of four different artists
but we are still essentially four different stores. We all have our own
shopping carts and payment options.
To Make an order:
When you decide which pattern(s) you'd like to purchase from a
particular seller, click the "Pimp it!" button to add items to that
seller's shopping cart. When you have finished shopping, select the
"Checkout" button on that seller's shop page to finish your order. The
checkout button will take you to the seller's personal checkout page where
you only need to enter your Name and email address and payment information
to complete your order.
Your order is then sent directly to your seller who will
email your pattern(s) to the email address you provided within 24 hours of
your purchase.
Who am I paying? Paypal says I am paying
Roxycraft/Peptogirl/Crafty Carnival/Goody-Goody?!
Since you are ordering from an individual, you may be
directed to their own personal paypal page (ie: Roxycraft, Crafty Carnival,
Peptogirl, Goody-Goody). Never fear, your order will still be processed by
your seller without complication.
Do I need special software to open a PDF file?
Yep. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader. Download the latest software here:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
How will I receive the
pattern?
Paypal customers:
You payment will be processed immediately
using paypal and your pattern(s)
will be emailed to you in PDF format within 24 hours of purchase.
Most of the time, you should receive it anywhere from instantly to a
couple of hours. A 24 hour wait is rare.
eChecks
with Paypal:
eChecks take 3-4 business
days to clear the bank and patterns are shipped out within 24 hours of
clearing.
Credit Card customers: (Tamie Snow customers
only)
Your payments will be processed within 24
hours and you pattern(s) will be emailed to you as soon as your payments
are processed. Usually within 24 hours of purchase, probably much faster
than that. Payments are processed with
Dialpay. Your privacy is important to us and all of your payments are
processed with security measures.
Once I print out my patterns, how do I transfer them
onto my fabric?
There are a few different ways that you can get your design onto your
fabric. All of the supplies can be purchased at your local sewing or craft
store.
Carbon paper, fabric transfer paper, dress-maker's carbon:
These all work essentially the same way. Spread out your
fabric on a hard surface, lay the transfer paper face-down on top of the
fabric, where you'd like your design to be, then place the printed design
on top of the transfer paper and trace with a pencil. You may want to pin
both papers to your fabric to avoid movement. These papers often come in a
variety of colors so choose a color that will show up well on the fabric
you are using. For instance, you'll want to use white if working on dark
colored fabric.
Trace directly onto fabric:
If you are using a fairly thin and light colored fabric,
you can trace the design directly onto the fabric with a fabric pencil.
Place your design on top of a light-box. Place your fabric on top of the
design and trace.
Transfer pen or pencil :
You can trace your image directly onto the printed pattern
or tracing paper using a special transfer pen or pencil. You'll want to
make sure that the markings will wash out of your fabric so check the
label first. Remember, you'll be ironing the design onto your fabric when
it's face-down so the image will be reversed. If the image has lettering,
make sure that you flip it over before tracing so that the letters will be
readable once ironed onto the fabric. Follow the directions on the pen or
pencil for ironing – usually you'll need to set your iron on a low setting
and run your iron over the design for a short amount of time.
Tracing paper:
Trace your design onto a piece of tracing paper. Pin the
traced design in place on your fabric. Embroider through both the paper
and fabric until you are done with your design. Carefully tear away the
tracing paper to leave only the fabric and your embroidered design.
It's been over 24 hours, where the heck is my pattern?
Email your seller right this minute. Don't wait 3 days to
do it, email them as soon as the 24 hours have passed.
It is common for your email to bounce the email or to file
it in your bulk/junk mail folder. Please make sure that the email address
of your seller is on your safe senders list.
Please make sure the email you provide is the correct
one and that it works! We are not responsible for making sure that
your email is working properly, so please make sure you check your email
address carefully.
On the rare occasion there has been a technical issue that
has kept your seller from filling your order on time.
I would like to sell something with your pattern
stitched on it. Is that ok?
Yes, but first you MUST obtain a license from us. Just fill
out a simple application
and fees are based on the number of designers your choose to obtain a
license from.
